THE WORLD IS YOUR CANVAS TOUR

In the summer of 2023, I was brought on to lead the production of Sharpie’s national campaign, one that would blend live activation, digital engagement, and influencer partnerships into an unforgettable cross-country experience. The goal: to introduce Sharpie’s new Creative Markers in a way that felt as spontaneous and creative as the brand itself. We designed a 35-foot mobile activation—a traveling studio on wheels—where influencers, artists, and creators could engage audiences in real time, streaming their art and sparking creativity.
By the spring of 2024, the Sharpie Tour hit the road. Live events, influencer collaborations, and interactive digital moments turned the mobile studio into a hub for artistic energy, broadcasting directly to social media and offering new ways for fans to connect with the brand.
This wasn’t just a campaign. It was a creative journey—one that brought self-expression, excitement, and Sharpie’s spark to every corner of the nation.

MOVING OUT
After months of planning, designing, and fabricating, we were ready to hit the road. The campaign launched in the Spring of 2024 with a bang—our 35-foot mobile studio rolled out from New York, making stops across the country in cities big and small. The bus wasn’t just a vehicle; it was an immersive experience, designed to capture the essence of Sharpie creativity in real time. At each stop, we filmed behind-the-scenes content, meeting with fans, gathering footage before and after events, and documenting the energy of every activation. We adapted to each city’s unique vibe while making sure to capture the full scope of the campaign: the excitement, the artistry, and the connections that happened along the way.

MOBILE STUDIO
The bus was far from a typical activation—it was a multifunctional mobile studio, designed to serve multiple purposes. Equipped with cameras, a switcher suite, and advanced broadcast technology, it enabled us to stream live across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others, from virtually anywhere. Powered by Starlink and two redundant cellular systems, the bus maintained reliable connectivity even in remote areas, all supported by an onboard generator.
ACTIVATION + STUDIO

SOCIAL MEDIA
The road trip was not only about in-person interactions—it was about broadcasting the experience to a global audience. Equipped with a mobile studio, we had multiple cameras and a switcher suite onboard to stream content live across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more. Our production teams captured everything, from artist interviews to behind-the-scenes moments, inviting people from all over to engage with the Sharpie experience. But the real magic came when we brought participants into the fold, encouraging them to create art that would be featured in our digital content. Every stop on the tour became a live-streamed event, where fans and creatives came together online and in person to celebrate art, culture, and community.
ART BATTLE
One of the highlights of the campaign was our partnership with Art Battle, the world’s premier live painting competition. Unlike traditional art events, Art Battle brought a competitive edge to the tour. Artists from around the globe competed head-to-head in three rounds of live painting, with the audience voting to determine the winners. The atmosphere was electric, filled with creative energy and fierce competition. Filmed in Chicago and Los Angeles, these events added an exciting, dynamic element to the campaign, showcasing the power of live art and the thrill of competition. It wasn’t just a showcase; it was a celebration of talent, creativity, and the Sharpie spirit.
ART WORK
Curated throughout the year, we carefully selected works that captured the spirit of each city we visited. Over time, these pieces came together organically, contributing to a larger narrative.

ART BASEL
By December, this collection was unveiled at the world-famous ART BASEL in Miami Beach, marking the culmination of the campaign. As one of the leading contemporary art fairs, ART BASEL has been a global hub for innovation since its founding in 1970 in Basel, Switzerland. It brings together top international galleries and artists, uniting creatives, collectors, and curators in a dynamic exchange of ideas. Our exhibition at ART BASEL celebrated the powerful and dynamic artwork we had gathered, marking the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
